After 7 years of cooking and eating plant-based I finally broke down and replaced my worn out sorry-looking food processor with this beauty. It is a real workhorse and does the job. I keep expecting to help it out like I had to do with my former food processor but it doesn’t need any assistance.
I love the pulse button for when I am not sure how long I should process something – keeps me from turning chopped nuts into nut butter (when I was not going for nut butter). It has a start button that also can be paused. These buttons are on the base along with a digital timer.
The base is very sturdy with thick rubber footings. It is relatively easy to clean – I wash it by hand because that’s me. I don’t want to ruin it and I feel that the dishwasher can be rough on some items. The main container and the blades are all dishwasher safe with the exception of the shoot component.
It comes with this clear, plastic storage box of attachments and different size and shaped blades. You will have to dedicate some space for this (it measures about 91/2 wide by 11 1/2 in length by 7 1/2 in height). See what I mean? This model may be overkill for some people but since I spend a fair amount of time making my meals I need something that can reduce the amount of time I spend in the kitchen (I do have a life to lead right?). In the attachment treasure box you will find:
- A mini chopping blade
- An S processing blade
- A dough blade
- An adjustable slicer
- A reversible shredder
- A whisk
- A julienne blade
- A french fry blade
- A brush
- A spatula
- A disc spindle
In addition to all of this, the main bowl has graduated measures on the outside in cups, mls, liters and fluid ounces. It is also BPA-free. The shoot component has an insert that also has graduated measures, in mls and ounces, in case you want to add ingredients slowly while the machine is on.
My only slight complaint is that securing the main bowl in place takes a little muscle. I believe it has loosened up a bit since I first bought it. When it locks in place it locks in place! I give this baby two thumbs up!
